McKendree University Holds Business Over Breakfast, Speed Networking Event Oct. 3

(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 3, 2024) – McKendree University’s School of Business and the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce teamed up to sponsor Business over Breakfast and a special speed-networking event at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts on Thursday, Oct. 3.

At 8:30 a.m., students were invited to enjoy an informal breakfast of donuts, coffee, and other refreshments with members of the chamber. Then, two sessions of speed-networking broke out from 9 to 10 a.m. outside in front of the Hett lobby as students and business owners introduced themselves, enjoying the beautiful autumnal weather. Several types of local businesses were present, including banks, financial services, nonprofit organizations and healthcare organizations. This event gave students experience in networking as groups of Bearcats took turns speaking with chamber members throughout the hour.
