‘DCI St. Louis’ Drum Corps Show Returns to McKendree on July 14
Lebanon, Ill. — Drum Corps International competition returns to the McKendree University
campus on July 14, with four of the six corps making their “DCI St. Louis” debut.

For the first time, McKendree will host the Boston Crusaders, from Massachusetts;
the Colts, from Dubuque, Iowa; Jersey Surf, from Camden County, N.J.; and Spirit of
Atlanta, from Georgia. Returning are Music City, from Nashville, Tenn., and Pioneer,
from Milwaukee, Wisc.
“We are very excited about hosting our fourth annual DCI St. Louis show on the McKendree
campus,” said David Boggs, director of athletic bands at McKendree University and
corps director for Music City Drum and Bugle Corps. “The Lebanon community and the
St. Louis area have fully embraced drum corps activity here through great attendance
and enthusiastic support."
The fourth annual “DCI St. Louis” is a Premier Event on “Marching Music’s Major League’s”
42nd annual summer tour, which culminates at the world championships in early August.
The show will take place at Leemon Athletic Field on campus, adjacent to the Hettenhausen
Center for the Arts at 400 N. Alton St. in Lebanon, Ill., 25 miles east of downtown
St. Louis.
Ticket prices range from $20 to $45 for reserved premium seating. Groups of 20 or

Advance orders will end approximately one week before the event. The show is expected
to sell out, however any remaining tickets may be purchased from the box office on
the afternoon of the show.
Proceeds from “DCI St. Louis” support the McKendree University Music Department’s
interactive, hands-on “Music in Our Schools” program for pre-K through 12th grade students.
